About Me
I’m Dr. Kateri Berasi, a licensed psychologist dedicated to supporting women through the emotional and psychological challenges that can arise across the lifespan. My practice centers on creating a compassionate, grounded space where clients feel deeply seen, understood, and empowered to reconnect with themselves.
I specialize in women’s mental health as well as a broad range of concerns including: anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship struggles, and the impact of chronic stress or burnout.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, relational, and trauma-informed. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore our inner world—and supported enough to begin rewriting the stories that no longer serve us. Depending on each client’s needs, I may incorporate creative or somatic practices such as art-making or gentle movement into our work. These modalities help bring us out of the intellect and into the body, where so much of our experience lives—offering new ways of accessing healing.
I hold a doctoral degree from Long Island University, as well as a master’s and postdoctoral degree from Columbia University. I draw from a range of modalities including psychodynamic theory, mindfulness-based approaches, and feminist psychology, and tailor each session to the needs and goals of the individual.
I work with people of all genders and backgrounds, but my practice places a special emphasis on the unique emotional needs and strengths of women.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply seeking greater insight and growth, I’m here to help you connect to yourself—with warmth, respect, and curiosity.
