Individual Therapy - Women

At The Centered Self, women’s mental health is at the heart of the work I do. I specialize in supporting women through the many emotional landscapes that accompany hormonal shifts, reproductive transitions, identity formation, and the weight of societal expectations. Whether you’re navigating PMDD, perimenopause, fertility struggles, pregnancy loss, postpartum changes, or the complexities of motherhood and career, my approach is rooted in honoring your lived experience. I understand how often women’s concerns are minimized or misunderstood—especially by systems not built with women in mind—and I’m here to offer a space that validates, empowers, and helps you reconnect with your inner steadiness. Supporting women is not a niche for me—it’s the core of my clinical mission.

LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy

Individual Therapy - Men

While many of my clients are women, I also greatly enjoy working with men! I provide therapy for men who feel like they don’t quite fit into traditional expectations of masculinity or mainstream cultural norms. Many of the men I work with are deep thinkers, creatives, or emotionally attuned individuals who’ve been told—explicitly or implicitly—that they’re “too sensitive,” “too much,” or simply not enough in the ways society defines manhood. My approach offers a space to untangle these messages, reconnect with your authentic self, and explore what it means to live with integrity, purpose, and emotional depth. Whether you're grappling with isolation, identity, relationships, or the pressure to perform, I provide therapy that affirms your complexity and supports your growth on your own terms.

Individual Therapy - Adolescents

Adolescence is a time of enormous growth, self-discovery, and change—but it can also bring confusion, pressure, and emotional overwhelm. I work with teens who may be struggling with challenges such as bullying, anxiety, social isolation, academic apathy, or substance use. Whether your teen is withdrawn, acting out, or just feeling stuck, therapy can offer them a space that feels safe, supportive, and entirely their own.

I deeply respect the autonomy and inner lives of adolescents. My approach centers on building trust, meeting them where they are, and helping them explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. At the same time, I understand the importance of involving parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process. I work collaboratively with families—offering insight and guidance while maintaining the confidentiality teens need to feel truly comfortable opening up.

Group Therapy

Group therapy offers a unique and powerful space for connection, reflection, and healing. In a supportive and professionally guided environment, participants share experiences, learn from one another, and explore challenges in the context of community. I facilitate groups that center emotional growth, relational dynamics, and women’s mental health, and welcome participants from all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. Whether you're seeking to feel less alone, develop insight, or practice new ways of relating, group therapy can be a meaningful and transformative part of your healing journey. Stay tuned to hear about specific group offerings!

Couples Therapy

Relationships can be a source of deep connection—and also, at times, stress, disconnection, or emotional pain. In couples therapy, I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore communication patterns, rebuild trust, navigate conflict, and strengthen emotional intimacy. I work with couples of all relationship structures, family constellations, and sexual orientations. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or simply want to feel closer, therapy can help you and your partner reconnect, understand one another more deeply, and move forward with greater clarity and compassion.

LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy

I offer LGBTQ+ affirming therapy grounded in both clinical expertise and deep personal commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive care. I’ve worked extensively with individuals across the spectrum of gender identity and sexual orientation, and I recognize the unique challenges—and profound strengths—that often accompany life outside of dominant cultural norms. My dedication to this work is reflected not only in my practice, but also in my scholarship: I’ve authored published book chapters on LGBTQ+ mental health and have taught a doctoral-level course on affirmative therapy practices. Whether you're navigating questions of identity, seeking healing from past discrimination, or simply wanting a space where you don’t have to explain yourself—I’m here to meet you with respect, nuance, and wholehearted support.

Costume Therapy

Costume Therapy is a unique and immersive form of psychotherapy developed by Dr. Berasi to help women tap into parts of themselves that may feel out of reach in everyday life. Through the playful and intentional use of costume and embodiment, clients are invited to explore a range of archetypes, powerful figures, and fantastical personas—stepping into energies that reflect their strength, sexuality, creativity, spirit, or shadow. This experiential process allows for deep self-discovery, healing, and transformation, helping women reconnect with forgotten or repressed parts of themselves in a way that is both profound and liberating.

I offer clinical supervision to trainees and early-career therapists seeking a thoughtful, collaborative space to grow in their clinical work. My approach to supervision is relational and supportive, grounded in curiosity and reflection. I conceptualize from a psychodynamic framework—attuned to the importance of unconscious processes, relational dynamics, and developmental history—while embracing an eclectic, integrative approach in practice. Supervision with me is a space to deepen your clinical thinking, cultivate your authentic therapeutic voice, and navigate the complexities of early professional life with confidence and care.
